Hello! I’m Arlen, an animal on the internet. I’m a full-time freelance artist from the US; the majority of my art revolves around painting dragons (hence the name) and anthropomorphic creatures. I can be found hawking my wares at furry and fantasy art conventions a few times a year; if you’d like to see where I’ll be next, check my blog.
When not drawing for money, I draw for myself; in late 2024 I started learning to paint with acrylics, and have since gotten to make traditional media a strong part of my day-to-day life. Learning to work with acrylics – followed by watercolor and then gouache – has been very rewarding, and I’m looking forward to digging into that further.
Other hobbies include: Music (playing instruments); music (listening); photography; hiking, birdwatching, and plant ID; cooking; thinking about sci-fi; and video games.
What is this website?
This space is intended to be a repository of sorts for my writing, sketching, traditional media projects, media lists for books, movies, and games that I’ve read/watched/played in the year, and really whatever else strikes my fancy. Stay tuned.
